The Photo Challenge this weekend from Weekly Prompts, the site I share with my partner GC is WINGS.
My personal offering to our photo challenge is a mixed bag of wings, both in and out of view!
During a rare break from the heavy rain last week, I enjoyed a morning walk around the Tarn. This local lake is situated close to Leeds and Bradford Airport, Yorkshire, England. The western end of the longest runway runs just above the northern edge of the lake.
“Rain hangs about the place, like a friendly ghost. If it’s not coming down in delicate droplets, then it’s in buckets; and if neither, it tends to lurk suspiciously in the atmosphere.” ~ Barbara Acton-Bond
Most of my leisurely walks are taken around water. Today I share a selection of photographs from this past week plus a short video filmed here at home a month ago to show what happens when it rains a little too much.

Doing what comes naturally! Sorry… just coudn’t resist!
“Do not be angry with the rain; it simply does not know how to fall upwards.” ~ Vladimir Nabokov I think that’s good advice don’t you?
