The Wednesday Word Prompt over at GC and my site Weekly Prompts is Haywire.
Some eighteen months ago, on a whim, I began to write a little piece of fiction that was inspired by an amusing remark from GC.
It was never my intention for my little bit of nonsense to sit amongst my computer files for a year and a half, but occasionally things go haywire, such as never completing the final part! Today I have addressed that slip, part three is finished and here is part one.

Hobgoblins, with their dark colored shaggy hair, are thought to be one of the most benign forms of goblin, closely related to brownies. They are small tricksters that love to mess with human lives through direct influence or theft when they are really in a mood to pull practical jokes. ~mysticfiles
