“We are born at a given moment, in a given place and, like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season of which we are born. Astrology does not lay claim to anything more.” ~ Carl Jung
Horoscopes is the Midweek Word-Prompt over on GC’s and my Weekly Prompts site. We asked our readers to tell us whether they take horoscopes seriously, or with a pinch of the proverbial salt. GC also added a monthly video to our sidebar, take a peek Here.

It’s Season 2, Week 2 of Friday Follies over at Proscenium. My first entry of the year is a Christmas gift I gave to Woody the Beagle.

“One does not simply go to bed before checking their Fitbit and quietly walking around the house until getting 10,000 steps” ~ Anon.
This weekend, the Photo Challenge on Weekly Prompts, the site I share with my partner GC, is Walking. This is my own response to the challenge.
A couple of days ago I drove up to the top of Ilkley Moor to meet up with cousin Angela. Lunch with Angela is always a pleasure. Good food at the Cow and Calf hotel, log fires, and plenty of laughter as we put the world to rights is pretty much guaranteed.
I told Angela about our Weekly Prompts photo challenge Walking and mentioned my friend and her Fitbit. With a smile on her face, Angela lifted her sleeve and showed me her own fitness tracker.
After lunch, we increased the step count on her tracker when we took a short walk across the moor whilst we took photographs of the view. Perhaps I should add a Fitbit to my birthday wish list!
