Owl and Mouse (26) – The Accident

β€œYou know the potholes on the road are bad when they assign lifeguards to them, in case anybody falls inside.” ~ Unknown.

The Wednesday Challenge over on Weekly Prompts, the Challenge site I share with my partner GC is Potholes.

My response is the 26th in the Owl and Mouse Comic Strip series.

Owl and Mouse have kept a low profile during the past three months of lockdown, but now the rules have begun to relax, Owl and Mouse begin to socialise.

This is so cute….but poor Owl and Mouse, not realizing all the pitfalls ‘out there’. We can’t be stupid now that we’re being given an inch of freedom and taking a mile!

Best to stay on the side of caution. Slow and steady might not win the race, but it gets you to the finish line in tact. That’s a bigger win in my book.

    Keep staying safe Sue.

    1. Oh, I so agree with you. So many pitfalls for everyone to negotiate. I still don’t have any desire to venture away from home, so will avoid the potholes by continuing to stay put.

The non-essential shops opened this week over here. I watched the queues of people on television waiting for stores to open. How crazy is that?
Thank you so much, Ginger πŸ™‚

  2. Aw, poor Owl and Mouse…life has changed in all of our worlds…and not for the better. 😦
I feel as they do. I understand.

I’m like a turtle…I’m still hanging out in my own shell…quiet, still. Not sure when I will venture out (off of our property) again anytime soon. Others are acting like rabbits out there…racing here and there…and they scare me. 😦

Great story and artwork, Sue! I love your Mouse and Owl Adventures! πŸ™‚

    1. I am the same, the last time I left home was the 12th March. The thought of coming into contact with others out of the family scares me. I feel it’s too soon.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Carolyn. Take care, πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
