“ Which of my photographs is my favourite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow!” – Imogen Cunningham.
The midweek Word/Photo Challenge over on our site Weekly Prompts is ‘Family Albums‘. GC asks us – In this digital age of phone cameras, online storage and social media, do we still use or look through our old conventional family photo albums?
A Typical photo page from my Family Album
Today my photos are stored on my computer and backed up in iCloud Online storage. Occasionally, I look through the old photo albums, but I often feel nostalgic and a little sad at the passing of the years.
A couple of weeks ago my eldest daughter came across a box containing rolls of film and disposable cameras that had been stored, almost hidden in a hard to reach area under the old staircase at her side of our house, I assume my late husband had put them there.
The question now is, how long have they been there and what the heck do I do with them? Should I have them developed, is there a chance something could be salvaged? Is the quality likely to be just as poor as the others that were taken with the old camera film?
