Idle-Chatter is the midweek word prompt over on GC and my Site Weekly Prompts and was written by GC.
Having had something of a time-challenged week I had nothing of my own planned for this prompt. This morning I remembered a previous post of mine, a conversation (The Flight Path) that took place in the autumn of 2017 in response to a WP daily prompt, and after copying and giving it a new title I think it fits the bill (or beak) perfectly for Idle Chatter.
“Where are you going?” asked the owl peering down.
“Wherever the flight path leads,” came the answer.
“It took you a long time to get here,” said the owl peering down.
“There was a bump in the road,” came the answer.
“A bump in the road!” exclaimed the owl peering down.
“I was side-tracked for a while,” came the answer.
“So how did you get here?” asked the owl peering down.
“I discovered my wings,” came the answer.
“And twit twoo, who are you?” asked the owl.
“WordPress sent me, I’m the fraud!” answered the penguin.
