Feet First!

“Anger is never without an argument, but seldom with a good one.” ~  Indira Gandhi

Taking a Break – I am about to take a break, and a little earlier than I initially intended.

During the next couple of weeks, my partner Gerry (GC) will be writing the prompts and challenges for our site Weekly Prompts, and I personally will participate very little in WordPress activities.

argumentBig Feet – A few days ago I misinterpreted something I read, and jumping in feet first I got myself into an altercation with a male blogger, someone I regard as a friend. Thankfully, we had Gerry as our mediator and calming influence. The misunderstanding was settled and he and I apologised and made up.

Normally, I am not confrontational, I do not fall out with people. For example, Gerry and I have been together for over two years and only once have we crossed swords.

Incidents such as this, especially when you’re in the wrong can leave one feeling embarrassed, upset and fragile. I needed to breath and step back from WordPress.

GC to the rescue, a discussion followed with the outcome of – I take an early bath (a rugby term). And I can still hear Eddie Waring’s voice! The U.K. will understand.

So, I leave you in Gerry’s capable hands for the next couple of weeks.

    1. Who could forget Eddie! He lived just down the lane from me and is buried in the village cemetery just a few yards from my husband.

I’m looking forward to another break and especially as it’s earlier than planned. Thank you Joe, πŸ™‚

    1. You’re right Ivor, we all need a break now and again. The last time I took this break was Oct/Nov, I think you were ill at the time. I’m looking forward to another ‘Secret Escape’ πŸ™‚ Thank you for the hugs

Although I’m a new follower, I will miss your enlightening, entertaining posts Sue. Definitely take some deep calming breaths while you leisurely stroll through your beautiful landscape. We’ve all ‘jumped the gun’ at least once in our lives, so think of us as living proof that “this too shall pass “.

Enjoy your break. Looking forward to your return.

  3. Dear Sue, I know how bad a fall out can impact one. I myself faced this very badly before I took the long break. I hope your break isn’t long at all. Especially when I have returned after such a long time to begin afresh. You will obviously come back stronger than ever before and I’ll be waiting! Lots of love! πŸ’
