Was it madness or brinkmanship?

A few days ago my partner GC and I created side by side posts that outlined the political unrest, division, turmoil and some of the similarities between America and the U.K.

GC’s article was one of a number that he published this week that have focused mainly upon President Trump’s Government Shutdown.

Today, another friend and blogging colleague commented to me “I think there is a touch of WSC circa 1933 about GC!”

Comparing Gerry’s articles to Churchill’s warnings is a fine compliment!
The remark prompted me to re-blog Gerry’s latest Trump article.

Another fabulous article by GC. I like how he goes right to the heart of the issue. I said before, Trump is a dictator and his only concern is himself. And if we are experiencing the demise of democracy as Derrick wonders, we are in for a world of hurt.

I love GC’s quotes from Groucho Marx and Winston Churchill. I hope both our countries can get their acts together…..sooner rather than later.
