The Snow Show

Snowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together. ~ Vesta M. Kell

This weekend, the Photo Challenge on Weekly Prompts, the site I share with my partner GC, is SNOW MAN. We asked our readers to share their snow covered photographs of winter days, snowmen, snowballs, snow forts and generally having fun in the snow.

I love your choices!! Thinking outside the box, eh? When I was scrolling down and got to the snowman behind the fence, my immediate thought was, “OMG! That looks just like a white cat jumping over the snowman’s head!” Then I continued scrolling and read your comment. I cracked up Sue.

Your grandchildren are just precious. But that last photo of Lili-Jane is worthy of a magazine cover! Oh! Those gorgeous eyes. Talk about ‘picture perfect’.

    1. Escaping the box is my mission in life, just call me Houdini! Amazing ghostly cat isn’t it?
Thank you for the kind comments about my grandchildren. Yes Lily-Jane is a beautiful little thing isn’t she. Thank you for your comments Ginger, they are appreciated.😺

  2. Several thoughts on your blog. I have a problem. I am in Mexico. It is 26 degrees cel. I looked real hard,…. no snow. I will dive into my archives. Stay tuned. That picture of your granddaughter, adorable. Cheers.

    1. We only have a sprinkling here, the photos were from last year. Hope you find a pic or two. Thank you Dan, love your comment about Lily-Jane.

    1. Cold snowy days bring out the English rosy cheeks look, on seconds thoughts that should be the Chinese/ English rose look. Either way she’d be perfect for Pears.Thank you Peter

Well partner you have not only thought “outside” the box you have created your own imaginative box made of snow. Great work. The photos you chose are exciting, dramatic, filled with outdoor winter fun and challenge.

This year the number of snowmen being built by school children has declined dramatically. I suppose the desire and the fun of building a snowman is diminished when the temperatures drop to the minus 25 degree Celsius mark.

Thank you for sharing your photos with us. Always a winner. 🙂

    1. You are very welcome, sharing was my pleasure. I’m pleased you like the ones I eventually chose. It’s certainly very cold over with you, and I thought our minus 4° was cold. Thank you for your comments love 🙂

    1. We are hit and miss here for snow, none to speak of so far. My photos were from last year. You will love snow Maureen. We all love to see it, but everything comes to a standstill when it falls because it doesn’t snow regularly enough to be adequately equipped to deal with it. Well enough, but not as well as parts of Europe and places such as Canada.
