The Midweek Word-prompt over on our other site https://weeklyprompts.com is Credibility and was chosen by GC and obviously not with me in mind!
To be perfectly honest with you, I found this word-prompt a tricky one to write about, so I’m running with the antonym instead.
Incredible – What do I find incredible? Well, for starters it’s incredible that I can’t think of anything to say; for once I’m lost for words and that itself is pretty incredible!
On the other hand… Scuppered Plans – Yesterday (Tuesday) the weather was lovely, a typical autumn day, sunny, not too chilly and perfect for the day I had planned which was to go for a drive and chase photo opportunities. Incredibly I stayed home instead and wasted a whole day waiting for parcels that weren’t even mine! Even more incredible is that the daughter received texts to say there was no one home and the parcels had been returned to the Depot. Upping the ante on this word, more incredibly than before is that she actually asked if I’d gone out after I had promised to stay home!
An additional incredibility (I’m getting good at this) is that the video doorbell had lost it WiFi connection. Really? Yes, it really had, and that’s not the worst thing that happened yesterday. The worst incredible happening was that I was unable to reconnect it!
The instructions show a picture of the doorbell and point to a switch on the side with an instruction to press on the side of the unit. I found it to be an incredible instruction (in other words Dumb) because my doorbell does not have a switch on the side!
So, I gave up and today (Wednesday) I will reluctantly call for the tech guy and incredibly, even though though the system isn’t a year old I am guessing I will have to pay for the reconnection!
So, (oops, sorry Peter) I think it’s incredible that I found some credible drivel to write about, let alone excel in the use of repeated words
by including the word incredible several times,Β I think I could pass this as credibility don’t you?
FOOTNOTE: Β Since the publication of this post, I remembered I had installed an access point for the door, mainly as a safeguard because the door is a distance from the router. On investigation I noticed the lights were out, a re-boot of the access point and the doorbell was working again. I had previously re-booted the router but had completely forgotten about the access point! π

That sounds quite incredible, Sue. π

Morning Trev, I actually wrote the post last night and this morning after Iβd published I suddenly remembered that weβd installed an access point for the door, mainly as a safeguard because it was a distance from the router. A quick re-boot of the access point and the doorbell was working again. Incredible that I forgot I had an access point! π

Incredible…..and there was I, thinking that my procrastination had saved me from investing in an incredible video door bell that would incredibly fail after a year.

How odd, I replied to you yesterday Peter, but my long winded effort isn’t here. I won’t bother typing it out again. I’m Supposing you read my reply to Trev. Thank you Peter, sorry about the missing reply.

I hope that next weeks word is a little kinder to you. But I must admit you got through that one rather incredibly well. As for the forgetting, I heard that there is a lot of that going around right now. I wonder if there is a pill or a shot for that! Cheers.

If there’s a pill I will take it, I would even volunteer to help medical science! As for the prompt, he has already been informed of my view. Thank you your comments Dan, I do appreciate it. π

That’s incredible that you remembered about the access point for the doorbell. Normally once I’ve forgotten something, incredibly It’s gone out my brain for eternity….. I’m going to pingback my poem ‘Waiting Time’, for your Weekly Prompt, because I’m waiting to see if my poem has some credibility with the Artist’s impression of my poetry, about and his incredible painting

Ha ha Ivor, loving your incredible reply! I had forgotten that the doorbell linked to the the access point, it’s hidden on top of a cupboard in my son’s downstairs room behind his storage boxes. I rebooted the upstairs router and had the access point been on view I might have noticed there was no light on it! π
