Party at my place!

When you look for the right person, you always end up with the wrong one. But when you just sit by the corner and wait, he comes along and shares the corner with you.” ~ Unknown.      And so wonderfully true!

Along with most of Britain, I’m caught up in royal wedding fever.  I have the bunting, flags I can wave, plenty of food, and on ice, I have a couple of bottles of bubbly with which to toast the happy couple, so come on over to my place and join me for a party – A Right Royal Do to celebrate the wedding of Prince Henry (aka Prince Harry) and Ms Meghan Markle. My place 12.00 noon (UK time) Saturday 19th May.

And if it’s not too premature we could begin our celebration today!

It really is an exciting event. I am not a romantic, but enough of an Anglophile to appreciate the history and import of royalty in the British realm. Harry is by far my favorite. I have always enjoyed his more rugged looks and he reminds me of my nephew to some degree. He gets to marry for love! At least that is my understanding. No arranged marriage of political purpose. She’s American, divorced, and undisputedly a beauty. It will be fun to see. I hope your party is immense fun, Sue!

    1. You’re right Ethel, just like Prince William he is marrying for love. Arranged marriages are a thing of the past. I just love the pomp and cirmcumstance of the whole thing. I shall definitely enjoy the party, any excuse in this house! Thanks Ethel 🙂

Didn’t get up early enough to watch it. Been catching up with some headliners on the net. Such a warm couple. I can’t help but get a little choked up.

      1. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’m taping the parts that are on now here. Bummed I can’t just see it without all the commentary and extra interviews I’m not interested in.
