Simply my view

A Visiting Jay in the garden

When I was five years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” ~ John Lennon

Erica V from WordPress chose ‘Place in the world’ for the photo challenge this week; New York was highlighted as her own personal favourite and I quote “The buildings are big, the streets are packed, and there’s always a crowd of people.”

Quite honestly, I cannot think of anything worse than being surrounded by concrete mass and shoulder to shoulder with hoards of strangers, the very thought of this fills me with horror.

We’re all different and I imagine many readers would experience similar feelings of revulsion about my ‘place in the world’

My place is where I feel happiest and at peace, and is literally ‘My Place’ and the core of my very being.

The air is sweet and fresh with pastures lush and green, the stars are bright and clear, and nature, wildlife and my life come together as one.

A wonderful article darling. Even Thoreau would be envious of the place you call home. Thank you for sharing your place of tranquility, peace and happiness. xx

      1. Still a little far from me. Was it any good?
Hope you enjoyed your trip up to Northumberland. Not been up there since my son finished university in 2011. We keep saying we’re due another trip.
