“One thing with gazing too frequently into the past is that we may turn around to find the future has run out on us!” ~ Michael Cibenko. So, I’ll remember not to do that! “Today is the first blank page of a new book, I hope to write a good one!” unknown
My first post of 2018 begins with a final look at 2017, and a selection of some of my favourite photographs. Pictures that evoke happy memories of special days and warm conversations with friends and family, old and new.
First, may I Introduce the newest of my eleven grandchildren, Alice, born tiny at 4lb.10oz and seen here with me at eight weeks old. The second photo is Alice’s older brother William, patiently waiting for me to take him to the Halloween dress-up day at his nursery. Following on are three more grandchildren, sisters Scarlett and Lily-Jane with cousin Evie. Bringing up the rear of this first batch is Woody our family beagle, seen here after stealing my toilet roll!
The final handul of photographs, including the Knaresborough Town Crier, a Tudor courtyard, the oldest street in England, the visiting cow and how to keep a calf warm are seen here in a photo album. Thank you for your visit today and may I wish you a very Happy New Year.
Thank you to my daughters, Elizabeth, Louisa, and Sophie for allowing me to use my photographs of their beautiful children on my blog.
