Santa not up for the job this day

Re-blogged this from  yournibblednews.com . It might be best to set your expectations a little low when visiting this Santa Claus, the normally friendly front, the patina of joviality, was simply not there. He turned towards Evie, my not quite three year old granddaughter and waited for her to speak first and made no effort whatsoever to put this small child at ease. — Sue W.

“December is full of the beauty of Light and love we can bring into our life. You  can choose to be stressed or you can choose to let the small stuff go and be peaceful this Holiday season. It really is a choice you make.” Eileen Anglin

Even Santa Claus can have a bad day. The forlorn look of boredom on this little girl’s face (Evie) tells even the most causal passerby that this Santa has not only lost the spirit of the season but also his supposed cheery rapport with the little girl. Her mother Sophie and grandmother Susan reported that the man in the familiar red and white suit totally did not embellish the spirit of the season. Tis the season to be jolly and not sad. This must have been one of Santa’s subordinate clauses at work. Better luck next time Santa. – gc

  1. I’m afraid most of the Santa’s we see at the shopping centres, just happen to be quite human, and I know we’re all capable of having a bad day. Poor bloke was either suffer from mano’pause, or his children allergy was playing up…..

    1. The local ‘Round Table’ (a charity) are given a small area each year inside the garden centre. Our garden centre has brilliant Christmas displays, so having a Santa benefits the centre too, but this year even the grotto was lacking in Christmas sparkle. It was good of the man to come along and give up his time, but he was totally unsuited for the job. 🙂

      1. Yes, I remember being so very hot in the Santa suit. Last year Christmas day was 102’F, and there was a day in February 2009, of the Black Saturday bushfires the temp in Geelong got to 117’F . That was the worst !!!
