Re-blogged this from yournibblednews.com . It might be best to set your expectations a little low when visiting this Santa Claus, the normally friendly front, the patina of joviality, was simply not there. He turned towards Evie, my not quite three year old granddaughter and waited for her to speak first and made no effort whatsoever to put this small child at ease. — Sue W.
Thank you for the re blog. xxxxxxxxx

I’m afraid most of the Santa’s we see at the shopping centres, just happen to be quite human, and I know we’re all capable of having a bad day. Poor bloke was either suffer from mano’pause, or his children allergy was playing up…..

The local ‘Round Table’ (a charity) are given a small area each year inside the garden centre. Our garden centre has brilliant Christmas displays, so having a Santa benefits the centre too, but this year even the grotto was lacking in Christmas sparkle. It was good of the man to come along and give up his time, but he was totally unsuited for the job. 🙂

Sometimes volunteering for an unsuitable task is not a wise decision, and the Charity group should have been more circumspect

I agree. Charity or not, he should have given his best effort. Thanks Ivor.

Oh thank you for that Ivor. I bet you were a super Santa. Seems odd seeing Santa on a hot summer’s day instead of a cold and frosty one!

Yes, I remember being so very hot in the Santa suit. Last year Christmas day was 102’F, and there was a day in February 2009, of the Black Saturday bushfires the temp in Geelong got to 117’F . That was the worst !!!

Our yacht club has a Santa arriving by boat. One year his spirits got well and truly dampened when he fell overboard as the vessel came in to the beach. A definite hit for the kids, though.
