Just to be clear… I’m not a man!

Earlier this week daughter Sophie and I took a drive out towards the North York Moors.

Unfortunately, due to roadworks, for twenty minutes we found ourselves in a long traffic jam. I imagine this was mighty annoying for some.

Drivers in a traffic jam, frustrated by each other’s presence, are not the most amiable of men!” ~ David Riesman

Thankfully, that wasn’t us,  firstly, we’re not men and secondly, we passed the time in a girly way, singing songs and fooling around with Snapchat!

Eventually we reached the A1 motorway, which as usual was chocker with lorries, and unfortunately, this is where it became something of a concern, because my eagerness to overtake these large mobile boxes resulted in me driving at high speeds, leading to Sophie to exclaim “MUM… You’re driving like a man!” and something tells me this wasn’t meant as a compliment!

It is amazing what a woman can do if only she ignores what men tell her she can’t.” ~ Carol K. Carr

      1. Yes and such fun Sophie, but can’t help thinking we were probably the most relaxed and laid back people in that traffic jam and we had a laugh.

I Just wish we’d realised we had enough time for you to nip into that lay-by and grab a bacon butty from the mobile caterers!
